LC’s SPOTLIGHT ARTIST OF THE WEEK: WINNIE

Winnie are a pop rock band, who formed back in 2002. Despite having been on the scene for a while, they have only just started making a name for themselves. Their music centers on dual lead vocals; similar to bands like Base Ball Bear, although the female voice is utilized far more frequently here. Their songs are sung entirely in English, but fortunately they don’t suffer from being broken for the most part. Winnie sound surprisingly experienced, considering they have yet to release a full-length album, but with their recent increase in output; fingers crossed, there should be one on the way.
